The School of Behavioural and Social Sciences and Humanities offers the opportunity to study in a variety of areas including English Literature, International Studies, Globalisation Studies, Human Behaviour, Japanese Language, Film, Historical and Heritage Studies, Indigenous Studies, Rural Social Welfare, Social Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology.
The School’s programs include, the Bachelor of Arts (Humanities & Social
Sciences) degree and the Bachelor of Psychological Science degree. Studies at
Honours level are offered in both Humanities & Social Sciences, and Psychology.
The School also offers the Bachelor of Arts (Rural Social Welfare), Bachelor of
Arts (International Studies) and one double award course, the Bachelor of Arts/Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing which is run in conjunction with the TAFE division of the University.
Postgraduate coursework programs include the Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. At Masters level, the School offers a Master of Psychology by coursework with a minor thesis. There is a professional doctorate in Psychology. The D Psychology and the School supports a number of researched-based Masters and PhD projects in a variety of disciplines.
The Graduate Diploma of Psychology enables graduates who have not studied Psychology to upgrade their qualifications to include the APAC major sequence in Psychology. Successful completion of this course qualifies graduates to apply for entry postgraduate studies in Psychology.
