UB Tec Certificate II in Construction Pathways is for students seeking to work in building and construction industry.

Certificate II in Construction Pathways – Ticket to Trade

(CPC20211)

This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry. Students will gain an introduction to carpentry, bricklaying, joinery, plastering, painting and decorating and gain essential skills for working in the construction industry.

Completion of Certificate II in Construction Pathways will enhance entry-level employment prospects, including Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

What will I study?

Plan and organise work

Read and interpret plans and specifications

Conduct workplace communication

Assemble components

Carry out measurements and calculations

Prepare surfaces

Handle and prepare bricklaying and blocklaying tools and equipment

Erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on ground

Use carpentry tools and equipment

Carry out concreting to simple forms

Apply basic levelling procedures

Carry out basic demolition

The minimum and maximum fees for this course include all material and student tuition fees. The fees are a guide only and are dependent on the total number of hours you enrol. A minimum fee applies to students who hold a Commonwealth Health Care Card.
