Enrolment Information

 

For admission to UB Tec eligible students are required to have completed year 10 (or equivalent), to have not completed Year 12 (or equivalent), and to be under the age of 20. 

Suitability requires prospective students to demonstrate:

  • An interest in vocational/industry study

  • Willingness to commit to meeting the course requirements (attendance, participation, course work completion, work placement)

  • Willingness to commit to a positive learning environment (behaviour, participation, timeliness)

  • Willingness to comply with University policies including Bullying Prevention and Management and Valuing Diversity

Information sessions

Centrally located in Ballarat, UB Tec opens doors to real jobs for young people. UB Tec students gain apprenticeships, find employment or go on to further study. Information sessions for prospective students will be held on the following dates:

  • Open Day Sunday 28 August 2011, 10 am to 3 pm. UB Tec information sessions at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm

  • Tuesday 6 September 2011, 4.00 pm

  • Wednesday 12 October 2011, 4.00 pm

  • Wednesday 2 November 2011, 4.00 pm

  • Monday 28 November 2011, 5.30 pm

The process for admission is as follows : 

  • Register and enquiry

  • Completion of a UB Tec Application for Enrolment form (pdf)

  • Interview 

  • Letter of Offer

  • Enrolment commence 

What are the costs?

 

Fees and Charges 

  • Students enrolled on a full-time basis pay a tuition contribution as set by the State Government.

  • Students may be eligible for a concession at the time of enrolment. Presentation of a Health Care Card is required at the time of enrolment to gain a concession. 

  • Students are also required to pay a Student Services & Amenities Fee and a Materials Fee applicable to the course undertaken. This will be outlined to students prior to enrolment.
